POSITION:                                Customer Service Centre Coordinator: FSN-07/FP-7 
OPENING DATE:                         November 7, 2016 
CLOSING DATE:                         November 21, 2016           
WORK HOURS:                           Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week 
SALARY:                                   Ordinarily Resident (OR): $24,784 p.a.FSN-07
Not-Ordinarily Resident (NOR): $ 35,364* p.a.  FP-07*
*Final grade/step for NORs will be determined by Washington. 
ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS (See Appendix A for definition) MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.   
The U.S. Mission in Harare is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Customer Service Centre Coordinator. 
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION 
The incumbent ensures that resource management sub-sections meet or exceed Uniform Service Standards in the delivery of services to customers, responds to requests, assigns and coordinates tasks inside the section, monitors performance of tasks, projects, and requests, and reports performance to Management. Incumbent reports to the Management Administrative Assistant. 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.  Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified. 
  1. EDUCATION:  Completion of secondary education is required. 
  2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum four years of experience in a customer-focused work environment, with emphasis on written and oral communication and daily interactions with customers is required.
  3. LANGUAGE:  Level IV English is required (speaking and reading).Level III Shona is required (speaking and reading). The incumbent must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate clearly with all members of the Embassy Community. 
  4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Typing skill of 40 wpm is required.

** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP.  
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA: 
  1. Management may consider the following when determining successful candidacy:  nepotism, conflicts of interest, budget, and residency status.    
  2. Current OR employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.  Current OR employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report (EPR) are not eligible to apply. 
  3. Current NOR employees hired on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless they have a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
