Plan Zimbabwe is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the National Gender Coordinator for the 18+ (Ending Child Marriages) Grant position. The position will be on a fixed term contract basis.
Job summary
Reporting to the Program Support Manager or Host Program Area Manager,
- the National Gender Coordinator will provide specialist guidance and support on child marriage programming in line with the Project demands and our Country Strategic Plan.
- The post holder will have overall coordination of the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the 18+ (Ending Child Marriages) Grant.
- S/he will be responsible for accurate budget control and overall responsibility for financial management.
Entry qualifications and experience
- A degree in Law or Gender Studies and/or Social Studies or an equivalent qualification;
- At least 5 years’ experience in community development with a reputable NGO;
- Ability to work with teams, communicate and coordinate with government departments and other agencies;
- Knowledge of strategic planning processes and theories of gender programming; Excellent networking and partnership building skills;
- Good communication, negotiation, leadership and facilitation skills;
- Strong team-building, motivational, strategic thinking skills
