The following posts which, have arisen within
POST A: TREASURER – GRADE 10
The Treasurer is responsible for the maintenance of Council books of accounts. The candidate should therefore be in possession of the following:
Requirements
- A degree from a recognised university in finance or accounting, a full CIS or CIA or CIMA is also acceptable.
- At least three years post qualification experience in middle management accounting position,
- Local Government experience is an added advantage,
- At least 30 years old
- A citizen of Zimbabwe ‘ .
- A clean criminal record
- A clean record within the local government fraternity
Major duties
- Formulating and implementing financial strategies for Council.
- To prepare and produce the Final accounts within statutory requirements,
- To ensure the preparation of all council financial statements for presentation to relevant committees
- Management of council investment portfolios
- Consolidation of income and expenditure estimates of Council
- Budget preparation and financial reporting
- Servicing the Finance Committee
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the CEO
