PSI Zimbabwe believes in achieving outstanding results through attracting, nurturing and retaining the best talent. An opportunity has arisen for a Director Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision based at the Head Office in Harare.
Reporting to the Deputy Country Director – Clinical Programs, the incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation, quality assurance and evaluation of PSI’s male circumcision portfolio in support of the national male circumcision program. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in service network management, knowledge of USAID regulations and reporting requirements, and demonstrated ability to manage a large and diverse work force.

Your contribution
Lead PSI’s national Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision roll-out plan and ensure implementation in close collaboration with Government of Zimbabwe and other implementing partners.
Ensure the rapid expansion of VMMC services in 43 rural districts as well as the two metropolitan areas of Harare and Bulawayo.
Lead the national roll out of the PrePex service delivery
Develop and maintain excellent relations with Government, Uniformed Services leadership, donors and other external stakeholders to ensure scale up nationwide.
Oversee Quality Assurance and Monitoring and Evaluation for the PSI male circumcision program.
Support the implementation of the quality assurance plan and supervise quality assurance and training team.
Working with the Lead with Evidence team, lead the implementation of PSI’s Health Network Quality Improvement System (HNQIS) for monitoring Continuous Quality Improvement at facility level
Ensure effective financial management of male circumcision budgets
Analyze field generated data on an ongoing basis and make decisions on how to match demand with services
Implement cost efficient service delivery and demand creation approaches that help to reduce the overall unit cost of performing Male Circumcision
Lead the operationalization of innovative market research findings into demand creation approaches in the field
Contribute to operations research on VMMC in both Service delivery and demand generation
Coordinate the updating of training curriculum in view of new developments
Coordinate development of updated operational procedure manual, adverse events guidelines and reporting system and other operations tools and M&E tool.
Leadership and supervision of 4 direct reports and oversight of program with 100 directly employed staff and about 1000 independent health service providers.
Ensure service delivery is according with national and international guidelines and protocols.
Active participation in national and international fora and technical working group meetings.
Report to Deputy Country Director on program implementation progress, monthly, quarterly and annual report development and when required.
Other duties as requested by the Deputy Country Director.
