Reporting to the Programmes Manager

Contract Type Fixed Term, Renewable up to 3 years

Salary: US$816 per month

Full Time, 40 hours per week

BHASO, an AIDS Service Organisation based in Masvingo seeks a Project Officer – Prison Health to take up the following responsibilities:

• Implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of prison health activities in all Programme areas.
• Communication, networking and advocacy
• Preparation of project Budgets
• Material development and documentation
• Collaboration with other Batanai Programme Departments
• Any other duties as assigned by the Programmes Manager

Skills, qualifications and experience required

• Minimum of a Health or Social Science related Diploma or Degree from an accredited University.
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
• Excellent understanding of project cycle management tools to ensure effective planning, resourcing, implementation and review of programmes and experience oforganisational assessment, planning and review tools and processes.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of development issues, and be able to convert those into development partnerships and products
• Proven experience of working within health care or a related field
• Practical experience gained within a volunteering/NGO context.
• Ability to plan and manage project-based work
• Proven experience of working with decision makers and clinical professionals in the health service and/or social services
• Proven experience of working with key populations, preferably in a voluntary organisation.
