Job Summary
To undertake specific skilled support to work to aid of the physiotherapy service for children with disabilities in Bulawayo.
Responsibilities
– Assessing children’s physical abilities and needs
– Developing of a treatment plan according to the each child’s needs
– Implementing programs including therapeutic exercise, manipulations massage and education
– Writing cases notes and reports
– Developing and updating a database of statistics of children with disabilities
– Educating and advising parents on how to prevent and improve conditions
– Keeping up to date with new techniques for treating children with disabilities
– Liaising with other health care personnel to supply and receive relevant information about the background and progress of child as well as referring those who require other specific medical attention
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
– A diploma or a relevant degree in physiotherapy
– 3 years working related experience
– Clean class 4 drivers licence
– Legally responsible and accountable
– Able to work with minimum supervision
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
