Description
Key Result Areas:
Short-term and long-term mining production, labour and equipment planning.
Dally tracking production and aligning extraction to market requirements on grade mix,
Tracking and linking development to production schedules for short to long term mine plans,
Mining design and optimization for applicable mining methods.
Production projects initiation, design, planning and management.
Co-ordination of mining processes and introducing initiatives to improve on efficiencies.
Monitor operation standards and their performance.
Rock mechanics design and monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience:
Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ working experience in similar position.

Description

Planning all mining operations on the Mine Including observation and implementation of all statutory requirements as contained in the Mining and Management Safety Regulations and Explosives Regulations.
Designing effective systems for the maintenance and operation of all plant and equipment on the Mine I in accordance with mining and engineering standards set.
Preparation and management of the Mine budgets in consultation with the Operations Manager.
Management of mine personnel, ensuring that labour is productively deployed and managing industrial relations
Management of Safety, Health and Environmental management issues on the Mine
Mining and processing of ore
Cost control

Qualifications and Experience:
Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering or other and at Earth Sciences; or
5 years’ experience at Mine Manager’s level
