The purpose of this role is to manage and collect outstanding debt owed to the business as well as to liaise between customer and business to resolve any queries. This role will also entail processing accounting transactions for Accounts Payable (AP) or Accounts Receivable (AR) in a complete, accurate and timely manner while ensuring compliance.
 
Key Accountabilities:

• Knowledge and understanding of customer master data and credit management
• Extensive knowledge of customer and balance sheet accounts reconciliation
• Collection of outstanding debt from customers
• Reconciliation of customer accounts
• Knowledge and understanding of cash application
• Providing customers with required documentation to support the receipt process
• Have an in depth knowledge of the assigned customer base which would result in thorough preparation of the sub ledger comments and hence debt reviews (including facilitating query resolution)
• Assist with ad hoc reporting requests
• Keep accurate records of all invoices and documentation
• Assist with external audit requirements
• Ensures all relevant stakeholders are aware of progress and/or issues to maximize customer satisfaction
• Demonstrates basic to advanced understanding of financial accounting, reporting, planning, controlling, assurance, and internal control (Treasury and Investment a strong plus)

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification
• 2 – 5 years financial accounting experience specifically in accounts receivables/creditors
• Strong reconciliation and MS excel skills
• SAP experience
• Deadline driven and ability to work with teams
• Self management capability
• Proficient in business English
• Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Exposure to Accounting tools a strong plus
