FINANCE AND OPERATIONS MANAGER

LOCATION: HARARE

The Finance and Operations Manager is a senior management position within the Amalima program structure and will serve as the lead member of the operations team overseeing all aspects of program compliance to USAID regulations, accounting procedures and financial reporting to CNFA home office.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Develop and implement financial oversight and control mechanisms and procedures to ensure that all program expenses are in accordance with CNFA’s financial policies, procedures, and rules and regulations
  • Oversee financial and administrative functions of the execution of subcontracts on all local sub-grantee partners
  • Manage the Finance and Administration team, including all human resources (HR) and accounting staff
  • Develop and periodically update the Amalima program’s policies, procedures, and guidelines, including, but not limited to: procurement policies, accounting procedures and ensure that all organizational policies and regulations are in line with relevant Zimbabwean Government policies and USAID
  • Review approval request documents to ensure the reasonableness of budgets, compliance with forward-funding guidelines, appropriateness of the methods of financing/payment, and adequacy of financial reporting
  • Ensure the smooth implementation of all Amalima’s financial and administrative activities, including, but not limited to: timely and accurate bank reconciliations, invoicing, monitoring of expenditure levels against budget and funding obligations, financial projections, submission of monthly financial reports to CNFA Headquartesr
  • Ensure that staff contracts and profiles (other than the ones managed directly by CNFA’s Washington, DC Office) are in place and appropriately monitored and updated
  • Ensure that all personnel records are maintained in a confidential manner
  • Undertake other assignments or tasks at the request of the Chief of Party


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. At least 10years professional experience
  2. Masters degree in business administration, finance or related area of study or equivalent work experience
