An Agricultural Distribution company is looking for a Warehouse & Distribution Manager with a good knowledge for systems and operations. You will be responsible for inventory management for stock worth more than 5 million dollars and managing the distribution of the same nationwide.
Reporting Structure
- Reporting To: General Manager
- Supervision Of: Subordinates / Mechanics / GRV Clerks
- Interacts With: Sales/Security/Suppliers
Job Description
- Plans and manages the efficient receipt, warehousing ,order assembly, and delivery of goods
- Manages the efficient utilisation of space and mechanical handling equipment, ensuring quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
- Co-ordinate Appropriately With Relevant Departments
- Health and Safety Compliance reporting and hygiene standards monitoring
- Procurement – Liaising / Negotiating With Suppliers
- Fosters a good working relationship with Retailers and Suppliers
- Manages staffing and training needs for warehouse and distribution personnel to optimise productivity levels
Candidate Specification
- Experience: 8 years
- Education Level: Diploma Level
- Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in materials, logistics or warehouse management
- Software: General Computer Literacy
- Equipment: Trade Related
- Knowledge Of: Retail and Warehousing systems
- Skills To: Manage, Lead And Motivate A Team
- Ability To: Communicate At All Levels
- Personality: Strong leader / efficient / organised
- Other Role can be physically demanding at times and may involve weekend work
