Key Job Functions:

  • Take proactive responsibility to ensure that business and strategies are developed implemented so that the organisation continues to grow as a healthy and customer focused entity.
  • Ensure that opportunities for business development are identified and recommendations made to the Board of Directors as appropriate
  • Set and achieve revenue performance targets relevant to the business in conformity with Group expectations
  • Establish an efficient and timely performance measurement and reporting system.
  • Ensure that professional standards in the broadest sense of the concept are applied across the organisation
  • Play a leading role in helping our client to maintain its market leadership position and high business standards.
  • Take complete responsibility for the development and acceptance of challenging but realistic objectives and plans by immediate subordinates and help them to achieve desired results
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally.
  • Plan key role in the overall management of the Group as a member of the Group Executive team.

Requirements

Requirements of the job:

The successful candidate for this Executive position should meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a holder of a basic degree or similar in any of the Medical Laboratory Sciences or other relevant discipline. An MBA/MBL qualification is an added advantage
  • At least 10 years Executive level experience in the service industry preferably in a health related environment
  • Must have a proven track record of driving business growth in a substantial organisation
  • Must be customer focused and marketing oriented and have the capacity to drive the business in a fresh and innovative direction
  • Demonstrable ability to develop long term strategic relationships with the key stakeholders in Government and other Stakeholder institutions
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and customer focused quality service delivery
  • Must be business minded, strategic thinker whose integrity is beyond reproach.
