Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following post that has arisen within the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA).

Corporate Communications Officer (Webmaster) – 1 Post-Legal And Corporate Services Division

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design the website and intranet in accordance with the Authority’s Corporate Communications Strategy.
  • Designs modification components and modules and any other appropriate electronic resources as required.
  • Installs updates on the website and intranet.
  • Uploads images and videos; posts and monitors content on the website, intranet, and social media such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
  • Maintain an inventory of advertisements.
  • Monitor and analyse website, intranet and social media usage.
  • Posts content and status updates on social media.
  • Responds to client inquiries and comments on all social media platforms daily.
  • Captures pictures and videos during events, functions and exhibitions.
  • Edits images for use in corporate publication, electronic platforms and social media.
  • Prints, frames and captions photographs.
  • Edits packages and distributes DVD footages (images and videos) of events to all ZIMRA stations.
  • Maintain responsive design by staying up to date on the web’s latest technologies and make sure the site and its products are always
  • mobile-friendly and multi-platform ready.
  • Conducting any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer.

 

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • A degree in Website Development and Management/Web Design & Development/ Information Technology/Publishing/Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration or social sciences would be an added advantage .
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a sub-editing, graphic design and general desktop publishing environment.
  • Experience in working with various design software (Freehand, CorelDraw, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat professional).
  • Experience in technical writing, proofreading, edit/sub-editing setting, colour coordination, photographic manipulation, page layout and design.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a definite advantage.
  • Clean Class 4 driver’s license a prerequisite.
