Estate Engineer vacancy-Zimbabwe 2016
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above position on our Estates in Chipinge District.
The job
The ideal candidate will report to the Estate Manager and will be in charge of the maintenance and repair of all Estate machinery and equipment; that involves, inter alia, factory machinery, tea plucking machines, water pumps, generators, tractors and vehicles, and all Estate buildings and electrical installations.
The Person
- A mature hands-on person with the following minimum qualifications:
- A diploma/degree in mechanical and production engineering, or similar qualification.
- At least 5 years experience as a foreman in an engineering function.
- Good knowledge and experience with conveyors, boilers, driers, and other factory machinery;
- Knowledge of tea factory machinery an added advantage.
- Good knowledge and experience with pumps, motors, generators and odier electrical machinery.
- Knowledge in repair/maintenance of tractors and vehicles an added advantage. Good leadership/ man management skills a must.
