Description
Unki Mines (Private) Limited, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced
persons to fill the following vacancy which has arisen in the Mining Department :
Shift Supervisor (Shift Boss)
Purpose of The Job
Responsible to ensuring compliance with Legal requirements, Unki Mining Standards and
the completion of records pertaining to area of responsibility, as stipulated by the
regulations.
Major Outputs
- The control of production operations within a designated area.
- Supervision, labour allocation and optimal utilization of resources.
- Ensuring conformity with Anglo American mining standards and mining regulations.
- Achievement of set production targets.
- The continuous monitoring and evaluation of work performance and the taking of adequate measures to ensure workers are competent to perform their duties.
- Coordinating mining activities, logistical activities and resources through planning, scheduling and communication.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
- A recognized degree or diploma in mining engineering.
- A full blasting license and NEC certificate.
- At least 3 years hard rock mining experience in treckless mining.
- Must be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Must be familiar with SHEQ Systems i.e OHSHAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
