Job description
To capture and maintain effective and accurate underwriting outputs to all internal and external customers thus contributing to the overall objective of the underwriting department, achievement of GPI and profitability.
Processing all insurance policies from personal and commercial lines business.
Checking and reviewing of underwriting terms offered to clients before processing them into the system to produce a policy document.
Servicing clients and brokers by issuing new policies and effecting amendments according to their needs.
Reviewing and processing renewal terms/invites to clients and brokers.
Processing reinsurance policies for commercial lines.
Preparing credit notes for payment to the reinsurers.
Requirements
A recognised University Degree
Certificate of proficiency (short – term).
2 years relevant work experience in a short term Insurance market.
Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements.
