RTI International has been partnering the Ministry of Health and Child Care in Building Health Data Dissemination and Information Use Systems in the Republic of Zimbabwe. One of the activities under this work is the improvement and mqdernization of health information collection systems. As a result a need has arisen to hire ICT professionals to work on MOHCC ICT systems.

Senior Software Developer and Programmer

Positions Overview:

The Software developer is expected to analyze, design, develop, debug, document, install and maintain enterprises edition health application systems. Emphasis is on building ICT systems that enhance effectiveness and efficiency of health service delivery. The ideal candidate should be able to work with different technologies and be innovative in problem solving.

Key Functions

• Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional system requirements
• Develop, enhance and maintain new and existing web-based and client/server enterprise applications

Qualifications Required:
Relevant degree in computer science, information systems or any appropriate discipline;
Knowledge and experience in developing in a range of technologies such as Java, PHP, Python, .net, Android, MS Access, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of systems and applications development including functions and capabilities of computer operating systems and software programming applications.
