Senior Research Advisor
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and oversee all research activities
Assist the DTS and liaise with appropriate technical unit heads and other staff in developing concept papers, abstracts, and research protocols and ensure timely submission to relevant approval bodies for clearance both locally and internationally and prior to dissemination
Liaise and work with appropriate FHI360 staff in the conduct of research activities as needed
Ensure technical evaluations, operations research and scientific studies operate within current best policies as well as approved and acceptable ethical norms
Ensures availability of technical resources in planning and implementing research activities
Assist the DTS in identifying, analysing and disseminating best practices in the project through evidence based approach
Qualifications
Medical Doctor, Clinical officer or social science with qualifications in demography, epidemiology, bio-statistics, public health or related fields
Masters degree in relevant or related fields
Five years research experience, including HIV/AIDS research programs
