Job Description
The Ministry of Health is looking for suitable candidates to work under the Zambia Health Systems Improvement Project (ZHISP). This is a World Bank supported project that is aimed at accelerating progress on Maternal and Child Health MDG and also preparedness for emerging challenges, especially Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
The ZHSIP will support specifically, strengthening service delivery, while focusing on results and reducing inequities. The project activities will be targeted to five Provinces that are poorer and underserved to scale-up coverage of high impact MNCH and nutrition interventions.
The successful candidates will be based at the Ministry of Health headquarters (Ndeke House) and will be reporting to the Permanent Secretary through the Directorate of Policy and Planning.
Job Title: Management Information System Specialist (Vacancy 1)
The MISS Specialist is required to provide technical suppost to the External Validation FIRM, and support the planning and implementation of the impact Evaluation component of the ZHSIP.
Job Title: Procurement Specialist (vacancy – 1)
The Procurement Specialist is required to undertake all the procurements in the project and he/she shall work closely with the existing procurement unit in the Ministry of Health in execution of duties.
Job Title: RBF Health Systems Specialist (vacancy – 1)
The RBF and Health Systems Specialist is required to help build on the on-going RBF pilot strengthen MNCH and nutrition service delivery, with a specific focus on increasing supply and demand side efficiency and reaching the underserved population.
Contractual Period
The appointment will be a one (1) year renewable contract based on the performance and needs
