Ground Operations Manager (Tanzania)

We are currently recruiting for a Ground Operations Manager at Tanzania.

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing local Operations / Dispatch centre, its staff and its suppliers. He/s will also maintain liaison with Fastjet network operations management who is available to assist with specialist support, advice and documentation.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Hold a Dispatcher License which meets with the approval of the TCAA, or must be in the process of obtaining that qualification by means which meet with TCAA approval.
Experience:

Minimum of five years experience of Airport Operations, Aircraft Turnarounds and Flight Dispatch Functions
Knowledge, Skills & Behavioural Competencies:

Excellent communication, collaboration and decision making skills.
Effective project and team management competencies.
Competent in IT skills and the use of Microsoft Office products.

The General Manager has overall responsibility for the safety, operational and training standards of the airline. He / She shall assume the responsibilities of Accountable Manager, ensuring compliance is maintained with the requirements of the Authority and the fastjet Group, including the terms of the brand licence.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Education certificates commensurate with the position.
Experience:

Minimum of ten years senior level commercial airline management experience.
Experience in working with Safety and Quality Systems within a commercial airline.
Experience in managing senior level staff and airline teams.
Experience in maintaining effective relationships with regulatory Authorities.

Excellent communication, collaboration and decision making skills.
Effective project and task management competencies.
Influencing and change management skills.
Inspirational leadership competencies.
