Position Overview: Provides his/her expertise to organize daily care assistance as determined by our resident’s needs and desires.
Essential Job Functions:
· Collaborates with residents and families to create opportunities for residents to direct their daily care and living experience
· Supports resident’s level of independence regarding personal hygiene and personal care needs, including but not limited to dressing and grooming,
bathing, dental and mouth care, dining and nutrition, mobility, elimination, psychosocial and safety needs
· Measures, reports and documents vital signs
· Documents daily care-giving activities and related findings
· Maintains confidentiality and privacy of the resident
· Participates in and implements individualized resident care plans
· Regularly facilitates activities and meaningful engagement
· Plan menus, prepare and serve meals and snacks according to household menu and resident preferences
· Welcomes residents and families to join in daily life on the households.

Minimum Requirements:
Education
Experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be a Certified CENA in the State of Michigan
One to three years of experience working in long term care.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Experience working with persons with dementia preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Clear understanding or person centered care
Teamwork
Good organizational and planning skills
Ability to work under tight guidelines
Attention to detail
Multi-tasking
Good Computer Skills (MS Office)
Ability to problem solve and think critically
