LEAD is a implementing a USAID Cooperative Agreement Program, the Feed-the-Future Zimbabwe: Crop Development Program (USAID/FtFZ-CD) whose objective is to reduce rural poverty and improve food security of targeted smallholder producers through increased agricultural production, productivity, local value addition, and market linkages of high value and staple food crops in Natural Regions III, IV and V. LEAD is putting up a team of qualified staff with relevant experience to implement the Program. The following position has become vacant and needs to be filled.
INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
The person will provide services related to computer and network management, software development and database administration. S/he will be responsible for planning, management and implementation of key infrastructure across all projects under LEAD, including server implementation, major fixes, software implementation and upgrades. S/he will be responsible for management, storage and security of data as well as providing technical aspects of survey data conducted on mobile platforms.
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics or IT-related major. A minimum of two years of professional IT experience, knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Server technology, networking technologies. Knowledge of information technology, information security, problem and resolution tracking procedures, telecommunications, customer service techniques, and techniques in leveraging IT, to include social media, to satisfy business needs. Attention to detail, time management, operations analysis and monitoring, systems evaluation, equipment selection, installation, and maintenance.
