Harare 2015 Jobs Careers- Enterprise Applications Manager

Responsible to the Senior Manager Information Systems.
The purpose of this job is to lead a team of Enterprise Applications Analysts in planning and designing applications solutions to satisfy business and technical requirements based on the most suitable enterprise applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and control the annual budget requirements for the Section.
• Draft and recommend to Senior Information Systems Manager on Applications standards and procedures.
• Provide clear objectives for each subordinate and review the objectives quarterly, annually and exercise remedial action as required.
• Draft, evaluate and recommend tenders for big projects and submit reports to Senior Information Systems Manager.
• Draft contracts where ICT issues are concerned and liaise with user departments on various applications and systems.
• Identify customer information systems requirements and recommend to the Senior Information Systems Manager where there is need for automation.
• Design and implement security procedures for all Tel-One systems and ensure data recovery procedures are in place when necessary.
• Investigate and resolve system problems.
• Provide technical software support to all information system users on a daily basis.
• Implement preventive system maintenance procedures to avoid prolonged systems downtime.
• Identify training needs for system users and provide training as and when necessary.
• Make and implement decisions on training, query resolution.
• Complete related tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems/Software Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Enterprise Resource Planning on SAP systems.
• Experience working on Unix/Linux and Microsoft Operating systems and Oracle databases.
• Experience working on Business Applications, VOIP technologies, Enterprise Collaboration Platforms

• Ability to strategies and create a vision for enterprise technology that aligns with business corporate strategies.
