Forwarding Operator Zimbabwe

• Responsible for transit export bookings with shipping lines for containers and vessel slots.
• Responsible for collation and ensuring that each shipment has the correct and relevant shipping documents e.g Bills of lading, Comercial invoice, packing list and as the case may be phyto sanitary certificates, certificates of origin, SADC certificates, Ministry of health certificates and any other documents relevant to that shipment
• Daily Liaison with shipping lines on status of shipments both exports and imports
• Daily liaison with regional offices regarding vessel bookings,  stack dates and other cargo booking requirement.
• Responsible for export bookings, stack orders, loading lists for exports and timely submission in order not to miss vessels.
• Weekly updates on exports to regional offices and daily updates to GM Terminals and the Intermodal Executive.
• Ensure daily status reports are submitted to various stakeholders
• Communication with keys clients on timely submission of shipping documents.
• Updating all files for invoicing
• Opening of files, updating of same and maintenance thereof
• Ensuring that all shipping documents have been timeously cleared and stamped by relevant customs authorities.
• Managing and coordinating the timing of the road, intermodal transfers, rail and port activities

• Managing cargo security and coordinating daily stock-takes
  • Basic 5 “ O” levels including Maths and English
  • Valid class 4 drivers license
  • Relevant diploma / degree in logistics.
  • Diploma in Customs Procedures & Legislation an added advantage.
  • Experience in both forwarding & customs clearing.
