Finance and Administration Officer: Local NGO
Location Harare
Job Information Functional Unit: Finance  Reporting to: Director
Supervising: Finance Assistant, Administrative Assistant/Secretary, Driver/Messenger. Duty Station: Harare

Key relationships
Internally: Director, Head of Programmes, Programme Officers, staff Lawyers Externally: Auditors, international stakeholders, donors, providers of consultancy services.

Responsibilities
–    Preparation of Management reports
–    Preparation of Donor financial reports
–    Administering and maintaining records on employees’ welfare
–    Preparation of bank reconciliations monthly
–    Liaising with auditors and timely audit preparations
–    Check advance and payments requests
–    Preparation of organizational annual budget
–    Preparation and controlling project budgets
–    Asset management and control
–    Ensuring the implementation of the organization’s financial, human resources, and administrative  policies and procedures
–    Ensure that all administrative functions are completed as per specified reporting and control procedures
–    Filing
–    Supervision of staff in the department while reporting to the Director
–    Any other financial and senior administrative functions ancillary or incidental to any of the above duties that may, from time to time, be allocated by the Director.

Qualifications and experience
–    5 ‘O’ Levels including English
–    BAcc or ACCA or CIS all completed
–    Up to date with IFRS requirements
–    Clean Class 4 driver’s license
–    3 years’ experience of which 2 in NGO civil society sector
–    Knowledge of software packages such as Pastel Accounting Version 11, MS Excel, MS Project and MS PowerPoint

Preferred and added advantage
–    Management (CIMA) or Human Resources (IPMZ) or administration diploma
–    Experience of managing EU and USAID grants
