Sable Chemical Industries Limited, the only manufacturer of Ammonium Nitrate fertilizers in the country, is located in Kwekwe, central Zimbabwe. It employs about 500 people and has a rated cpacity to produce more than 240 000 tonnes of Ammonium Nitrate per annum. Sable’s Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer and other Chemical products are supplied largely to the domestic markets. To produce the hydrogen required for the manufacture of the Ammonium Nitrate fertilizers, the company runs the largest Electrolysis Plant in the world, which splits water into hydrogen and oxygen.Sable is seeking to fill the position of Chief Finance Officer with a suitable incumbent who meets the following criteria:

The position requires a person with the following attributes:

• A results-oriented, self-directed and mature executive with the ability to lead different and dynamic teams.
• Demonstrated experience in a large manufacturing environment.
• Demonsrated ability to develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders e.g Banks and Customers.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position entails the incumbent to do the following:

• Formulating, co-ordinating and controlling the company’s budgets.
• Planning and managing cash flows and ensuring timeous production of financial and management accounts.
• Ensuring that the books of accounts are maintained according to recognised accounting standards.
• Formulating and reviewing accounting procedures and systems to ensure effectiveness.
• Ensuring that the Company complies with all statutory regulations and requirements.
• Providing strategic leadership and corporate direction on all finance policy issues.
• Leading the Finance team to ensure that the company’s strategic objectives are achieved.
• Performing the duties and functions of Corporate Secretary.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• A Degree in Accounting or an equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant.
• Corporate Membership of a professional Institution such as CIMA, CIS or ACCA.
• A Master in Business Administration qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least 10 years relevant experience preferably in a heavy manufacturing.
• Industry, 5 years of which should be at a senior management level.
