About CNFA: CNFA, a US-based nonprofit nongovernmental organization (NGO), works to stimulate economic growth and improve rural livelihoods. CNFA assists smallholders in increasing household food security and nutrition through improved agricultural practices, diversification of production, food preservation and storage, development of farmer organizations and strengthened linkages to markets. CNFA has worked in Zimbabwe since 1999 to enhance agricultural productivity through input supply systems.

Project background:

CNFA is seeking qualified candidates for a USAID-funded Development Food Assistance Program (DFAP) in Matabeleland North (Tsholotsho) and Matabeleland South (Bulilima, Mangwe and Gwanda). All positions will be based In Bulawayo.

The program’s strategic objectives are:

SO 1: Sustainably improve livelihoods through improved productivity, marketing, and access to financial services
SO 2: Sustainably improve household nutrition and health

 

CNFA Is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

(3)       Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager
(4)       Production and Livelihoods Specialist
(5)       Value Chain/Marketing Specialist
(6)       Agronomist
(7)       Livestock Specialist
(8)       Financial Services Specialist
(9)       Operations and Finance Manager
(10)     Human Resources (HR) Officer
(11)     Accountant
(12)     Grants and Voucher Manager
(13)     Bookkeeper
(14)     Logistics Officer
(15)     Drivers

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Chief of party candidates must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior management role in developmen programs, including experience as chief of party on large USAID-funded projects .
  • For positions 2-12 above, candidates should have an advanced degree in the relevant field and at least five (5) years of experience implementing agricultural livelihood and/or nutrition programs or working in an equivalent professional field.
  • For positions 13-15 above, candidates should have at least four (4) years of experience in the relevant field.
