Assembly Technician Zimbabwe and Zambia

Job Specification

• Will take full responsibility for the production activities of one Megadet assembly line.
• Is responsible for the off-reeler cutter system and need to ensure that the assembly line is operational at all times.
• Organizing assembly assistants on your line in order to achieve/exceeding the required production targets.
• Will be responsible for quality of the product produced on the line, as well as for the safety of the assembly assistants on your specific line.
• Minimizing and recording of waste
• Minimizing downtime and recording any downtime that occurs
• Will be responsible for reporting of any defective equipment on the production line.
• Reporting any incident immediately.
• Responsible for good housekeeping.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• A technical qualification will be an added advantage (N6 technical type qualification)
• Technical background or previous experience in a manufacturing environment essential.
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Physically fit and energetic with sober habits
• Must be willing to work additional hours if and when required.
• Mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot minor breakdowns
• Articulate individual who can communicate with all levels of personnel
• Fluent in English – written and verbal
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
