Action Contre la Faim : ACF is a registered charity, founded in 1979. Action Contre la Faim operates in 41 countries. The international network of Action Contre la Faim is represented in Paris, London, Madrid, New York and Montreal. Teams in the field combat hunger on four fronts: nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation.
ACF : Action Contre la Faim is seeking to fill vacancy of Logistics Officer, which will be based in Chipinge and will be reporting to the Field Coordinator.
The individual will be in charge of the below but not limited to the mentioned areas.
Main objectives
– Manage the purchases
– Select & follow up the suppliers
– Manage the reception and delivery process including stock and Warehouse Management
– Manage the stocks and all assets at the Base
– Manage the buildings and facilities at the Base
– Fleet management at the base
– Focal person on security, IT and Communication at the base. Communication includes HF, Internet and telephones
Qualifications and experience
– At least a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply; Logistics; Procurement, Transport Management or any related qualification
– At least 2 years experience in a Logistics environment
– Very high proficiency in writing, reading and speaking in English
Skills and competencies
– Attention to detail and a strong implementer of procedures
– Excellent in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
– Rigorous and good analytical skills
– Capacity to communicate effectively at all levels
– Integrity
– Highly organised and able to do multiple tasks and work with minimum supervision of follow up
– Honest and transparent
– Team spirit
