Program Purpose; EAC is a global program of EAA that aims to significantly reduce the number of children worldwide who are denied their right to education, to help provide them with opportunities to learn. EAC works with partner organisations toward its mission to trigger significant breakthroughs in providing out of school children faced with extreme poverty, cultural barriers, and conflict-affected environments an opportunity for a full course of quality primary education. M&E department ensures continuous attention to a robust and coherent system of monitoring and evaluation of EAC activities in relation to EAC KPIs and other key data.
Role Purpose: The dual purpose of this position will be to focus on data verification and analysis of EAC partners’ project data, submitted semi-annually as well as to monitor partner progress while supporting evaluation work.
Data Verification
· Download and clean data semi-annually
· Check for missing and inaccurate data
· Cross-check data against trends, goals and targets
· Revise data sets with accurate data from updates
Data analysis
· Conduct summary analyses of country education and development indicators
· Conduct quantitative analysis of data
· Conduct qualitative data analysis
· Mine data for additional requests
Monitoring
· Work with partners to verify and reconcile data
· Support the tracking of project activities
· Communicate with partners over reporting requirements and updates
· Support and respond to partners around on-line reporting
Support site monitoring visits, as appropriate
Reporting
· Generate analysis and summaries needed for reports.
· Support annual and semi-annual reporting by providing accurate, timely and relevant data
· Work with M&E team to address ad-hoc reporting requests
· Compile data for key performance indicators
· Work with Sr. M&E manager and research manager to provide data for formative evaluation and research
M&E Support
· Provide data for communications and website
· Support development of database by testing functionality and reporting requirements
· Identify data problems and bring to the attention of the Sr. M&E Manager
· Support partners with responses to data entry questions
· Work with M&E team to compile and analyze site monitoring data
· Coordinate with technical and financial teams to monitor project implementation
· Help draft reports and provide input into research
· Work with M&E manager on M&E planning
Timely Deliverables
· Manage time efficiently and effectively
· Deliver high quality professional products on time
Education and qualifications;
BA in Education, Development, Economics, or related field. MA preferred
Experience;
Three to five years of M&E experience, preferably in education
Experience working in developing countries and familiarity with education indicators.
