Key duties and responsibilities summary

 

•    Manage the teams of marshals.
•    Be available to affect the entirety of the team’s operations.
•    Motivate and encourage marshals through positive communication and feedback
•    Meet at least once each week with your team.
•    Perform at least one monitoring evaluation with each marshal every two weeks .
•    Keep track of attendance, daily statistics, paid time off, sick time, etc.
•    Present to the Operations Manager at the conclusion of each week a breakdown
of the past week’s monitoring checklists and a written performance summary of the team.
•    Present to the Operations Manager at end of each week a breakdown of the next
week’s monitoring assignments and a plan for the team.
•    Create a forecast describing the things each marshal will be focused upon.
•    Create a detailed plan of the way in which you plan to impact your team’s day-by- day performance
•    Administer training programs for new hires and existing staff.
•    Work with management on refining and scheduling appropriate training sessions.
•    Produce quarterly reports outlining the team’s performance and growth.
•    Meet with human resources to review staffing levels and employee issues.
•    Produce performance reviews as established by Operations Manager.
•    Create effective channels of marshal feedback.

 

Person specifications
•    Degree in Traffic Management or Equivalent.
•    Diploma in Business Management/ Project Management or Business
Administration is an added advantage.
•    At least two years’ experience in a similar role
•    Great knowledge and understanding of traffic laws and regulations
•    Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
•    Discrete, honest, trustworthy, communicative, proactive, methodical, diplomatic
•    Fostering a spirit of team work
•    Ability to provide coaching on the job
