Job Description

Dispatcher responsibilities:
1) Provides excellent customer service to clients (passengers)
2) Answers calls from clients and schedule services
3) Schedules and dispatches drivers with the help of special computer system
4) Maintains records, logs, and schedules of the calls received to schedule transit services, drivers dispatched, and customer cancellations or no-shows
5)Prepares reports on all activities occurring during their shifts.
6) Directs drivers through phone and internet-based contact
Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

• One to two years of dispatch and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be computer literate;
• Prior medical/taxi industry dispatch experience preferred;
• Must have a strong geographical knowledge of the area;
• Ability to manage multiple employees at any given time;
• Have the ability to work under stressful situations.
• Ability to organize logical and efficient schedules and routes and adapt to changes;
• Ability to read, comprehend and understand a map;
• Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel programs;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Clear speech and pleasant phone demeanor;
• Ability to use a multi-line phone system and handle multiple tasks concurrently
