We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Wood Machinist / Joiner
It would be advantageous if you are able to prepare and machine timber and be involved in the Furniture joinery and assembly side of the work.
The workshop is an extremely busy environment with high volumes of work being produced, therefore the ability to work at pace and under pressure is essential.
Roles and Responsibilities
- You will be required to:
- Assist in the production of Built in cupboards, fitted kitchens, and furniture items from drawings
- Selecting the right type of wood for a particular product working out the amount of timber needed cutting and shaping timber
- Cut, shape and plane wood using hand power tools, power and computer controlled tools
- Fit hinges and handlesSkills and Attributes
- Previous Experience
- Good Practical Skills
- The ability to work both on your own and in a team
- Good levels of concentration and attention to detail
- Will and drive to deliver second to none products
- Able to work to a high level of accuracy
- Mechanical knowledge and an understanding of the properties of wood
