Harare, Zimbabwe 1250 Consultant Agreement, 5 days Part Time, 8 hours per week

The main objective of the consultancy is to facilitate a 3 day training to correctional officers within the region. A proposal from a highly experienced/professional trainer is welcome for the following key functions: To develop interactive and detailed training session accompanying background material for the delivery of training workshops on the effective strategies on the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners Improve rehabilitation and reintegration knowledge and skills using a structured process or models. to advance correctional excellence of VSO work in prisons on research, practice and policy Deliver 3-day training of trainers for selected participants and support the development of country specific reintegration strategy documents Deliver the training guidelines in addition to content and tools. Develop training workshop report with recommendations for further addressing rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners.

 

Advanced University Degree in Psychology, Social Work and Sociology and other related field. At least 5 years of professional experience on sustainable livelihoods or marginalized populations in particular prisoners. At least 3 years of documented experience in developing, facilitating/delivering interactive/participatory training sessions in the area prisons health, prisoners and ex-prisoners reintegration and rehabilitation, psychosocial and legal counseling, etc. Documented experience in conducting TOT. Excellent skills in presenting complex technical information in an easily comprehensible way. Adaptability and flexibility in working within complex and dynamic environment. Ability to deliver high quality products in a timely manner

 

The candidate must have a mandate to train correctional services staff and has prior approval and access to Prisons and correctional service staff.
