Role Purpose:
Qatar Charity (QC) considers Education in Emergencies as one of its main priorities especially in the Syrian context. Senior Education Program Coordinator will be based in Doha, Qatar. He or She will be responsible for coordinating and supporting QC’s Education Field Coordinators team in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.
Contract length: 12 months.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, and preferably post-graduate university degree, in humanitarian assistance, business administration, development studies or equivalent.
- Not less than ten years’ experience of working in the international NGO arena.
- Strong experience of Cluster/Sector coordination mechanism.
- Very familiar with international humanitarian system mechanisms and tools: projects submissions, funding mechanisms, reporting, financial tracking…
- Solid knowledge of the Core Humanitarian Standards, Red Cross/ Red Crescent Code of Conduct and related codes and practices.
- Demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge of Education in Emergencies, particularly in a protracted displacement context.
- Experience in establishing and managing education in emergencies programs.
- Experience and knowledge of effective financial and budgetary control and managing field teams from the HQ.
- Ability to analyze information, develop information management tools, suggest appropriate formats and templates, elaborate and review reports, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
- Solid proposal development and review skills.
- An in-depth understanding of national and international development issues related to the thematic program, including cross-cutting issues (conflict sensitivity, gender, disability particularly important…)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and the ability to lead and motivate others.

· Demonstrated management and delivery of projects and activities on time and on budget.

· Ability to analyze and present diverse and complex quantitative and qualitative data from a wide range of sources.
· Proven experience in building rapport with individuals and groups, nurturing good relationships across organizational levels.
· Computer skills, including internet navigation, and various office applications. Resilience, stress tolerance and work under difficult conditions.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic.
Salary:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
