Program Development and Funding Manager
About this position:
The Program Development and Funding Manager will work closely with the Regional connectors and country programme staff to catalyse the growth and development of our programme through improving quality, effectiveness and funding in line with Oxfam Zimbabwe’s Programmatic Strategic Framework 2016- 2020.
This position will be responsible for designing, updating and implementing the Zimbabwe donor mapping and funding strategy. This position will also lead, facilitate and support high-quality programme development processes – helping teams move from programme design on paper to implementation. This includes strategic donor intelligence gathering, trends analysis and generation of information needed for effective engagement with and influencing of global, regional and country level donors. The Programme Development and Funding Manager, over and above the responsibilities described herein, is part of the first line of Oxfam responders in the event of a CAT 1 or CAT 2 humanitarian crisis being declared, therefore can be assigned to support and/or lead the response as part of our organisational commitment to saving lives while ensuring commitments to donors and beneficiaries on ongoing work.
What We Are Looking For:
- Advanced degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences or relevant qualification
- A minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position
- Excellent understanding of different aspects of quality programming (for example: partnership, participation, accountability, innovation, gender and monitoring, evaluation and learning) and how these can be incorporated into different interventions.
- Ability to develop programme design documents – including strong appreciation of theories of change (logic models, log-frames), contextual analyses (e.g. power, gender), budgets, MEAL plans
