REPSSI (the Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative) is a regional capacity building organization working in East and Southern Africa (ESA) to enhance the psychosocial wellbeing of all children affected by HIV&AIDS, poverty and conflict. REPSSI provides technical assistance for psychosocial care and support in 13 countries including Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. REPSSI Zimbabwe is implementing a programme to mainstream psychosocial support into health and nutrition in 10 districts of Zimbabwe. This will be done through training of MoHCC frontline staff, VHWs, CCWs, Mother to Mother group leaders and community gate keepers. The programme will be implemented collaboratively with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Ministry of Labour and Social Services and NAC.
REPSSI is seeking the services of a qualified intern to fill the this M&E position for this Project to be based at the Zimbabwe Office in Harare but with frequent travel into the field.
Key responsibilities
Assist design and implementation of the M&E tools for this project; Assist in the collection of all the data using the approved tools from all the district and five provinces on the agreed time frame; Assist in analysis of the data and generation of quality and timeous reports for REPSSI and its partners; Provide the feedback on the data and reports received from the districts; Assist in ensuring data quality assurance by carrying out periodic data audits with partners and stakeholders; Conduct regular monitoring of the project implementation; Participate in and assist in the implementation of baseline surveys and periodic evaluations and assessments for project, (Mid-term and End of Project); Assists in the monitoring of projects’ established objectives and targets and provide regular updates; Assist in the designing and development of M&E capacity enhancement programmes for REPSSI staff
Essential requirements
Applicants must be studying towards or have a degree in Social sciences, statistics, or Operations Research; Independent, self- motivated, capable to handle tight deadlines; High competence in written and spoken English; Ability to network and build multi-sectoral partnerships for monitoring and evaluation; Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Practical experience in basic data analysis; Excellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary research team; Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines; Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time; Willingness to take on new tasks and learn new skills as required; Willingness to travel extensively across the country.

The contract for the M&E intern will run for the duration of the project from March to December 2017.
