This role reports to the CEO and supervisors the accounts department with a career growth plan offered.
Please note you must have worked in the tobacco – cotton or similar sector with contract grower’s scheme experience to be considered for this role
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A relevant Degree in Accounting at a recognized University, ACCA/CA/CIMA – 5 – 10 years’ Financial Management experience in a for-profit entity, preferably agro environment. Ability to handle + $2m budget size is important.
DUTIES:
· Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
· Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
· Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
· Utilising necessary analytics, track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
· Seek out and innovate methods for minimising financial risk to the company
· Research and analyse financial reports and market trends
· Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
· Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports and returns as necessary
· Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
· Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
· Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
· Understand and adhere to RBZ financial regulations and Zimbabwean legislation.
· Leads the company-wide budgeting and budgetary control
A salary – 3000 – 4000pm and company car is offered
