ADRA Zimbabwe seeks to recruit qualified candidates to fill the following positions.
PROJECT/ FIELD SUPERVISOR
The position exists to provide leadership in the implementation, monitoring and reporting for the Education Project in Gokwe North District. S/he will be responsible for the oversight of implementation of project activities, partnership development, management and capacity building.
S/he will be working under the direct supervision of the Project Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• A degree in Development/ Social Sciences or related field from recognised University, with leadership experience at Supervisor/ Coordinator/ District level.
• Minimum 5 years working experience within the NGO sector/ rural development programmes.
• Good knowledge of project cycle management, budgetary control and leadership
• Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically
• Have outstanding communication skills, with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures.
• Proven experience in report writing.
• Experience working with local/ international NGOs and local government structures would be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skills sensitive to the cultural environment.
• Working knowledge of Ndebele/ Tonga would be an added advantage
• Clean class 4/5 Driver’s licence
FIELD OFFICER (CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST)
The positions require experienced Field Officers who will provide construction related technical support to Project/ Field Supervisor in the District and coordination of activities at the local level. S/he will liaise with stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are met. The Field Officer should have experience dealing with stakeholders and humanitarian activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Degree/ HND in Civil/ Building/Construction Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in community development/ NGO sector.
• Good communication skills at all levels with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures.
• Experience in project management, report writing and willingness to support other team related activities.
• Experience working with local/ international NGOs and local government structures would be an added advantage.
• Clean Class 3/4 Driver’s licence. Motor bike riding experience will be an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Ndebele/ Tonga an added advantage.
FIELD OFFICER (EDUCATION SPECIALIST)

• Good communication skills at all levels with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures.
• Willingness to work in and understanding of development work in rural areas.
• Experience in project management, report writing and willingness to support other team related activities.
• Experience working with local/ international NGOs and Local Government structures would be an added advantage.
• Clean Class 3/4 Driver’s licence. Motor bike riding experience will be an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Ndebele/ Tonga an added advantage.
ACCOUNTANT
The Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with Agency and Donor requirements, maintain accurate books of accounts and assisting with preparation and processing payments.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• BAcc/BCom/BBA in Finance/ Accounting
• Holders of ICSA, ACCA, CIMA or other professional accreditation are preferred.
• Good capacity for daily financial work such as data entering, financial document preparation and storage
• Knowledge of donor funds accounting, rules, regulations and financial reporting would be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and willingness to support any other team responsibilities
• 3 years’ experience.
PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS OFFICER
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for coordination and support of the project by ensuring goods and services are available at sites. S/he will be accountable for meeting the project targets (timeframes, budgets, product quality and stakeholder engagement).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Degree/ HND in purchasing/ supplies/ logistics and stores
• 3 years practical experience in the procurement of goods, logistics and services in the NGO or UN systems
• Knowledge of the construction industry would a strong advantage
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and willingness to support team/ agency activities/ responsibilities
• Clean Class 4 Driver’s licence. Motor bike riding experience an added advantage.
